Dance Workshop 2009
Maria O Connor
Maria O Connor commenced dancing
with the
O’Connor School of Irish Dancing. She won a regional
championship (Connaught) and went on to compete at national
and international level.
She has participated professionally in Lord of the Dance
(European tour), Magic of the Dance (European and Asian
tour) and Gael Force (America and Asia tour). She recently
obtained an MA in Ethnochoreology from the University
of Limerick and is currently a lecturer and tutor on
the BA in Traditional Irish Music and Dance and the
MA in Irish Traditional Dance Performance in Limerick.
Workshops are suitable for all age groups and will focus
on traditional dance steps and performance choreography.
